About Us

Sue Elliott

• Founder, My Angel Coach™
• Founder, The Build Team

Sue is here during these pivotal times to help people transition out of the old fear-based paradigm of scarcity, greed and competition (business as war) … and into a new love-based reality of collaboration, compassion and abundance.

Sue has been on a Divinely guided journey in this lifetime: being put in the right place at the right time. Gathering the business skills and life experiences she needed to do the work she does today.

Sue’s career always unfolded as if by magic. Roles were created especially for her. A stranger would call out of the blue and say, “You’re exactly who we need.” She’d run into someone in a taxi line who would hire her. Or she’d simply create a new business to do exactly what she felt inspired to do.

From Muscle Car Magazines to Personal Transformation

Sue spent nearly 30 years of her career as a publishing professional, serving as Editor-in-Chief for more than 20 different magazines.

As a consultant to publishing companies, Sue’s specialty was creating brand-new newsstand magazines from a blank sheet of paper. She has been a lifelong car lover, so it was a joy to create Overhaulin’ Magazine (based on the Discovery Channel TV series) and The Barrett-Jackson Experience (about their outrageous collector car auctions).

Long before that, Sue got to be the first woman Editor-in-Chief of a hands-on, how-to car magazine (High Performance Pontiac). And she got to test drive new cars and write about them as Editor-in-Chief of the first woman’s car magazine.

Plus, Sue has written 1,000s of articles for publications ranging from The Los Angeles Times to Drag Racing USA and Mind Body Green.

As a spokesperson for SEMA, the automotive aftermarket trade association, Sue got to appear on hundreds of TV and radio shows—and meet with editors of major magazines—to talk about how people could make their vehicles more fun, more stylish, more comfortable and safer. She loved taking what she had learned from years of writing tech articles (like how to rebuild your first engine and how to upgrade your truck for towing a trailer), transforming that know-how into advice that was meaningful for moms and commuters and outdoor enthusiasts.

Food & Wine

For years, Sue’s joked that food and wine are her sports. So, when she got unmarried and could live anywhere, Sue chose to move up to the Napa Valley. There, she began writing about restaurants and wineries for the local newspaper, for Napa Sonoma Magazine and for other publications.

Soon enough, Sue received the opportunity to create a whole series of food magazines that were filled with recipes from amazing TV and restaurant chefs. These popular newsstand magazines included CHEF, Comfort Food and Holiday Baking.

Personal Transformation

Sue also has been on a personal transformation journey for nearly 30 years, ever since she read Marianne Williamson’s book A Return to Love in 1993. She was able to marry all that experience with her publishing background in 2011, fulfilling a longtime dream of creating a personal transformation magazine.

Law of Attraction Magazine was sold on newsstands nationwide for four years. In it, Sue got to share her own insights alongside wisdom from great teachers like Don Miguel Ruiz, Wayne Dyer, Joe Dispenza, Abraham and Esther Hicks, and Neale Donald Walsch.

Business Leadership

In addition to her many years of publishing experience, Sue is also a longtime entrepreneur, launching and leading several companies. She served as Chief Growth Officer for an education technology startup. She worked with Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures to launch a health-tech app. And she launched and later sold a boutique PR agency.

Sue also co-founded a company that sold clients’ products into the major retailers in the United States—and made sure people actually bought those products once they were in stores.

Sue is passionate about business as a force for change. She’s had the privilege of serving on the executive team of Conscious Capitalism in Orange County, CA, and co-facilitating retreats for the Conscious Leadership Guild.

The Perfect Preparation

Today, Sue can see how every experience she’s ever had—even the painful parts, like the end of her marriage and a later relationship with a narcissist—have been the perfect preparation for the work she does today. The hundreds of self-help and spiritual books she’s read. The countless seminars and workshops and practitioner trainings she’s attended. The culture shock of growing up in Los Angeles and then going thousands of miles away to Cornell University… Even graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell with an English degree focused mostly on poetry(!) serves her today, because it’s made Sue keenly aware of people’s word choices, inflections, and what they are—and aren’t—saying.

ALL of this experience helps her every single day, as she helps her clients grow their businesses, transform their relationships, and experience far less pain, worry, stress and anxiety.

The best part is: Sue never does this work alone. The Angels are always with her, guiding her to ask specific questions, do various energy healing processes and share their unique, mind-blowing wisdom and guidance.

Sue calls this work Angel Coaching, and it’s her own unique blend of life-and-business coaching, energy healing and delivering guidance from the Angels.
